Why am I calling it LifeDream Productions? Not that you're asking - but why not ask it? I'm ready to answer!
Anyway the quick and easy answer is that prior to the reading we did last year, the play had a working title of "Life is but a Dream" and was saved in many of it's incarnations as lifedream. So when I was thrust into role of producer, I quickly latched onto that as a great name for my production company. And on the surface that's a decent answer. It was kind of a gut decision, but in retrospect, it's one that I'm glad I made. It resonates with me on so many levels. It has been a life long dream to be acting and to be involved in theatre on many levels. And more specifically, getting this play produced was on my list for this spring. One way or another I wanted it done - and like in a dream, the universe has made it pretty easy to proceed. Plus the play is all about dreams and the nature of reality. On top of that, I encourage people - my friends, my family AND my clients - to follow their dreams. There are so many voices urging us to be sensible. Our parents want us to choose security. Our family and friends want us to be normal, to get a good job that has benefits, to grow up and settle down. And so often, the growing up and settling down means giving up and settling for. I don't believe you have to settle. I don't believe you need to give up your dreams in order to be responsible. And I don't believe God gives you a talent because he/she expects you to bury it. If you've got a gift, it's meant to be shared. Happy people make others happy. Joyful people spread joy. So live your life the way you dream it.
